We are looking for a range of different people to help us put together, to make, to build and to welcome all to Hartlepool Waterfront Festival

Hartlepool’s biggest event is back for a third year and is encouraging visitors to join the events team as a volunteer. In conjunction with Volunteer Hartlepool, the festival is building a team called ‘The Hands Team’, to lend a hand over the weekend.

At last year’s Waterfront Festival, Hartlepool Borough Council were inundated with requests from people wanting to join the team and provide hands-on support at the festival to help the event run smoothly as well as give something back to their town.

Volunteers will be needed for a number of small roles, one of which is to help bring Brân the Puppet to life. Brân the Blessed is produced by Theatre Company, Small World Theatre who are based in Wales.

Hartlepool Borough Council are looking for students, job seekers and just anyone that loves Hartlepool. There will be many different duties to try your hand at so no matter who you are, there will be something you will enjoy!

The theme for Hartlepool Waterfront Festival 2019 is Harbour of Refuge, which historically was the name of a safe haven for ships seeking free shelter from stormy seas, located on the Headland.

This year’s festival will re-imagine this concept and celebrate the good-old Hartlepool welcome for those from different communities seeking a better life. To do this the festival is throwing the biggest welcome party you have ever seen! A welcome for anyone and everyone but also for a special guest, 25ft Welsh Puppet Brân the Blessed.

More details of the duties required are available of the Volunteer Hartlepool site or contact Tracey Wilson 01429 857074
