In the spirit of promoting our home-grown opportunities, the Learning and Skills Service are currently working in partnership with a number of local businesses to recruit and enhance their workforce with Apprentices.

Please see below an overview of the live and upcoming Apprenticeship vacancies we have on offer.

We will be hosting an Awareness Session to promote these opportunities out of the Hartlepool Enterprise Centre, taking place from 10-12 on Monday the 17th of May. Due to Covid restrictions, this will be done by appointment only.

Four Apprenticeships available at Northern Utility Solutions / Apprentice Sales Consultant / Customer Service Level 2

NUS are looking to hire up to four Apprentice Sales Consultants, with a view of hiring more pending a successful recruitment process. The Apprentice will be trained to work over the phone, in a business to business (B2B) sales environment, offering bespoke support that meets client company’s energy needs. They will be expected to maintain a customer database, complete with records of consumer interactions and current statistics. This role also has a fantastic commission scheme on top of the apprenticeship wage, the commission is the exact same as the one given to full time staff, offering limitless earning potential even while completing the apprenticeship. This role is ideal for any candidate who is confident, driven and eager to work in a fun, incentives based environment. 37.5hrs per week, 9-5, Monday to Friday

Portofino’s is a much loved local restaurant, situated on the Historic Quay. They are looking to hire a Trainee Assistant Manager, who will perform front of house duties. They will also work with management to develop administrative skills, such as creating rota’s, logging annual leave, and cashing up at the end of shifts. Portofino’s are looking for a person they can mould into the role, and have been quite forthcoming in saying that future opportunities will be made available for the right candidate. This role will require evening and weekend work, up to 30 hours per week.

Vodafone are currently looking for staff to work in both their Hartlepool and Stockton sites. Primarily this role will involve enhancing customer experience through excellent customer service, as well as handling customer questions, queries and complaints. These roles will see a successful applicant working for up to 30hrs per week, with a highly competitive starting wage of £8.75 per hour.

The role itself will be heavily based in customer service, with a strong leaning toward estates and sales, involving a lot of communication both over the phone, and face to face. For the right person, this role has the potential to lead on to a highly rewarding and financially lucrative career in the industry.

Clevestone are looking to hire an organised and reliable person to work out of their Hartlepool office. Ideally, this person should also have some relevant business admin experience, as well as having a good understanding of Microsoft Excel. The role will involve a diverse range of administrative tasks, including data processing and payroll duties, as well as dealing with customers. Hours are Full Time.
