Opportunity: Holiday Activities Volunteer
Closing Date: 02/09/2022
Hartlepool Borough Council Holiday Activities and Food Programme Quality Assurance Volunteer. We are looking for volunteers to support the HAF Coordinator in the Quality Assurance of provision to ensure that providers are meeting the standards that have been set and delivering what they have agreed to do in their application form.
The Holiday Activities and Food Programme (HAF) has been up and running in Hartlepool since 2021. The aim of the programme is to provide access for school aged children to activities over the three main holiday periods of Easter, Summer and Christmas. Each child/young person should have access to 4 hours of activity, 4 days a week, for 6 weeks of the year (1 week Easter, 4 weeks summer, 1 week Christmas). Alongside this is the provision of healthy, hot food and the delivery of nutritional education for children/young people and their families. To do this Hartlepool Borough Council is acting as a funding distributor for providers wishing to provide activities to children/young people across the Local Authority area.
