Purpose: Sound Engineers (or Audio Engineers) to work in recording studios making high quality sound recordings, for the organisation. You will need to be able to operate complex electronic equipment to reproduce music, dialogue, sound effects and other audio content to the highest quality. This may be for commercial music CDs or albums, radio, television and theatre, advertising or corporate presentations and promotions.
As a Sound Technician, you will work alongside the Entertainment Organiser, and support the performers scheduled at the organisation.
You will be responsible for overseeing the use of the sound equipment, operating PA systems, microphones and running live sounds.
Capturing the sounds of live bands performing at organisation and making sure the sounds keep on pumping!
Time needed from Volunteer:
Available hours Monday - Friday Evenings
Trial period of 3 weeks
Minimum, 1 evening a week
Skills Experience & Qualifications:
Taster training sessions available, full support given to deliver role.
Experience working with Young People.
The ability to set up and maintain a PA system.
Basic knowledge of technical setups for performances.
Well-organised with the ability to work well under pressure.
