Purpose: Looking for hands on work experience for a career in Teaching!
Organisation hosts many schools/colleges/university and youth group visits during term time and family events throughout the year. Their professional Learning Team deliver exciting programmes of outdoor learning activities and Volunteer Learning Assistants play an important role - inspiring and engaging children, students and families, leading some of the standardised programmes, working with small groups and fulfilling many other essential background jobs.
Engaging and with groups of young people and assist with delivering outdoor/nature learning programmes for the organisation.
To complete relevant health and safety training.
Time needed from Volunteer:
Minimum of 1 day a week during term-time.
Mainly in the busy season February to Mid-July.
Skills Experience & Qualifications:
All in-house training provided to be able to deliver role
Experience of working with groups of young children.
A friendly demeanour and ability to engage and inspire people about wildlife.
Ability to lead.
Able to be outdoors and on the go all day.
A resourceful and flexible approach.
An interest in wildlife, but no expertise required.
