Purpose:
Hartlepool Adult Education established the Learner Voice Forum in 2016 to encourage learners to be fully informed of all aspects of the service and to improve feedback channels to help improve outcomes for learners and quality provision.
Volunteer Learner Ambassadors will be part of Adult Education and the main purposes will be to:
Positively promote the service to new learners and external partners.
Become a member of the Learner Voice Forum to help shape the future development of the service.
Support Head of service with improving the quality of provision.

Duties:
The main duties of the Volunteer Learner Ambassador will be to support Adult Education staff to:
Assist in organising and marketing events to promote Adult Education.
Provide new and existing learners with up to date information relating to courses and enrichment, health & well-being and employability activities.
Work closely with Adult Education staff to collect feedback from learners through Learner Voice Process.
Assist in maintaining learners on programmes by signposting individuals to additional Student Support Services such as: Pastoral Support and Universal Careers service.
Assist in organising community development events.
Organising open days and to positively engage with visitors to encourage them to enrol on courses.
Promote the service at exhibitions and other relevant events.
Meet on a regular basis via the Learner Voice Forum to engage with the Head of Service to increase marketing activity, learner feedback and improve service delivery.

Time needed from Volunteer:
Times and days to be arranged with potential volunteer.

Skills Experience & Qualifications:
To apply for this role prospective volunteers must be:
Existing Hartlepool Adult Education learners.
Confident about marketing & promoting the service to potential new and existing learners and external partners.
Able to effectively communicate both verbally and through written channels such as e-mails.
Confident in speaking to learners, staff, volunteers and visitors.
Respectful of others and know how to work as part of the team.
Able to follow instructions and meet deadlines.
An advocate for equal opportunities for all learners.
