Purpose: Do you enjoy listening and helping people? Local organisation who supports individuals who suffer with Motor Neurone Disease (MND)
By offering confidential emotional support, accurate information and help to access the right services and equipment, you can enable people affected my MND to live their life more easily and make more informal choices.
For this role you will need to be able to work as part of a team, liaise with Health & Social Care professional's and have the ability to develop and maintain supportive relationships.
As an AV you will keep in regular contact with people with MNDM their families and carers this will be done either by phone, email or face-to-face visits, depending on what suits you and the personyou are supporting
Time needed from Volunteer:
As little as two to four hours a week
Skills Experience & Qualifications:
All training and on-going support will be given to deliver the role.
