Purpose: The aim of the organisation is to help young people towards responsible adulthood and encourage them to reach their potential by developing valuable personal attributes and high standards of conduct, using a nautical theme based on the customs and traditions of the Royal Navy.
The organisation achieves this by providing an organisation where young people, irrespective of class, ethnic origin, culture, nationality, race, gender, age, sexuality, ability (within the bounds of safety to themselves and others) and or religious belief, can develop their personal attributes and grow as valuable members of their communities. The Sea Cadet activities are cantered around life skills, general knowledge, the history and traditions of the Royal Navy and wide-ranging nautical skills.
Organisation enjoys close links with Britain's maritime community and their biggest supporter is the Royal Navy, whose customs and traditions are the heart of what they do.
As a volunteer you'll be helping them to deliver a fantastic experience that inspires young people through fun and nautical adventure, to learn and develop new skills that will give them the best possible head start in life.
