Purpose:
An exciting opportunity for a Volunteer Funding Bid Writer has evolved. The role will involve writing funding bids, enabling one of our volunteer programmes to start new projects and sustain our existing service.
The programme is still in development stages, meaning this role is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who enjoys helping a small organisation grow, improve and deliver much needed support and benefits that not only helps the people we directly work with but also the wider community.
The main purpose of this role is to research, compile, edit, proof read and send a variety of grant applications to trusts, foundations, corporates, and other sources on behalf of the programme.

Duties:
•Research and identify appropriate funding streams.
•Work with managers to identify appropriate projects to meet funding criteria.
•Write, edit, proof read, send funding proposals to foundations and trusts in line with the charity’s constitution and branding style.
•Ensuring bid applications are completed to the highest standard.
•Liaise with managers regarding all bid applications and supporting the various application stages.

Time needed from Volunteer:
Time commitment – flexible, to be negotiated with Project Coordinator.

Skills Experience & Qualifications:
In order to fulfil this position, you will need to have the following skills:
•Researching and identifying potential funding opportunities.
•Excellent writing and proof reading skills.
•Good attention to detail.
•Good computer skills.
•Committed and reliable.
•Ability to maintain confidentiality.

You will have excellent writing skills and a good persuasive writing technique. You will be organised and self-motivated, and very passionate about the work that we do. Bid writing experience is beneficial but not essential. We welcome applications from applicants with or without experience in this area.
Training/Resources - specific training will be provided as you volunteer if required.
