Purpose: A newly registered Charity based in Hartlepool in the North East of England with an area of benefit that covers England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
The aim of this charity is to prevent bullying from happening but where it does happen to deal with it in a planned, constructive way.
Bullying is a major issue in the UK that destroys lives. It not only impacts the bully and the bullied but also has a dramatic negative impact on their families, friends and the wider community. Bullying takes many forms e.g. bullying in schools, workplace bullying and cyber-bullying.
To lead or be part of a small teak to forge links with various sporting groups both amateur and professional initially in the North East.
To source various sporting groups that will be happy to stand up against bullying and help improve the self-esteem of vulnerable people who have been the victims of bullying.
Work alongside with the events team in creating sport based fundraising events.
Work as part of the team identifying the various sporting groups and venues.
Liaise with not - for -profit media in respect of joint projects with either sporting individuals or groups.
Working with the charities PR department, local businesses and sporting groups to form partnerships in the fight against bullying.
Time needed from Volunteer:
Days and hours are flexible.
It may be that most of the work be delivered on a weekend.
Skills Experience & Qualifications:
This is an exciting role that would require good communication and organisational skills and plenty of flair.
Would be suitable for an individual who has been involved in some form of sport or has sporting connections.
Training will be offered, in respect to the way the charity has to be represented & marketing of the charity and its services.
