The purpose of the role is to be a marshal at the big tri weekend commencing on Friday august 16th to Sunday 18th. This role largely involves being positioned around the course, interacting with members of the public and making sure the area is safe for the competitors

The main duties of the marshal’s will be;

- Communicating with members of the public and race
- Representing the council in a professional manner
- Offering advice and guidance if necessary to answer
questions people may have
- Identifying any potential health and safety hazards and
liaising with lead marshal to remove them
- Celebrating and encouraging participants who are
completing the event, motivating them as they pass
through the various stages of the course

Time needed from Volunteer:
Weekend commencing on Friday august 16th to Sunday 18th.

Saturday and Sunday mornings will be 7am meet at Hartlepool Marina to have a final briefing before being deployed to stations.

Skills Experience & Qualifications:
No formal qualifications are necessary.
Experience of working on large scale events would be desirable but not essential. Experience of working with customers, answering questions and problem solving would be advantageous. Bubbly personality, able to motivate and engage with people to bring enthusiasm to the role.
