Purpose:
To support the service users of a local organisation and other members of the community to engage in support and meaningful activity and to move towards greater levels of community integration.

Duties:
Within this time the worker will:
•Support the development and delivery of the activity
programme for the community within the training centre
and the wider community
•Advertisement of activities
•Support with donations for activities
•Network with agencies/community and develop new and
enhance existing partnerships
•Work as part of a team within organisation
•Maintain accurate records
•Reception/admin and retail duties

General Responsibilities:
•To liaise with community support worker regarding all
housing and community related issues
•To support the day-today running of the project
including day to day running of the training centre/
hub/ shop
•To ensure service user confidentiality
• Record accurate notes and records
•To implement and adhere to organisations policies and
procedures including health and safety and equal
opportunities
•To ensure the structure, values and ethos of the conduct
organisation are adhered to
•To operate within clear professional and confidentiality
boundaries and to work within organisations code of
conduct

Time needed from Volunteer:
• To be flexible and to cover hours outside normal shift pattern

Skills Experience & Qualifications:
Training:
Complete training pathway which includes all basic training and inductions including raising a concern.
Opportunities given for further training to aid development.

Personal and Professional Development:
•To participate in regular professional reviews and
attendance at team meetings when applicable
•To be responsible for own personal and professional
development, to identify training needs and to be
willing to undertake training where a need has been
identified and agreed with the line manager, to ensure
that an effective service is provided.
•To keep up-to-date of change in policy and practice
