To assist with the day to day running of a local organisations hub. To assist with the safety and security and the upkeep of the buildings used within the service and to support clients to move towards greater levels of independence.

The domestic assistant will:

•Assist in day to day running of the hub
•Help set up for activities
•To assist with upkeep of the hub including cleanliness
and report repairs
•Work as part of a team
•Support tenants with cleaning and the upkeep of
•Admin duties

General Responsibilities:

•To liaise with community support worker regarding
all domestic related issues
•To ensure service user confidentiality
•Record accurate notes and records instructed by
the community navigator
•To implement and adhere to organisations policies
and procedures including health and safety and equal
•To ensure the structure, values and ethos of the
organisation are adhered to
•To operate within clear professional and confidentiality
boundaries and to work within organisations code of

Time needed from Volunteer:
To be arranged at initial induction
•To be flexible and able to cover hours outside normal
shift patterns.

Skills Experience & Qualifications:
1.Complete training pathway with community
navigator which includes all basic training and
inductions including raising a concern. Further training opportunities available to aid development.

Personal and Professional Development:

•To participate in regular professional reviews
and attendance at team meetings when applicable
•To be responsible for own personal and
professional development, to identify training needs and
to be willing to undertake training where a need has
identified and agreed with the line manager, to ensure
that an effective service is provided.
•To maintain knowledge and keep up-to-date of change in
policy and practice
