To assist with the day to day running of a local organisations workshop through effective team work. To assist with the safety and security of the buildings used within the service and to support clients to move towards greater levels of community integration.

The workshop assistant will:

•Assist in day to day running of the workshop and
•Assist with markets
•Assist with deliveries
•To assist with upkeep of the building including
cleanliness and reporting repairs
•Work as part of a team
•Support the young people attending the workshop

General Responsibilities:

•To liaise with the workshop manager regarding all
workshop related issues
•To ensure service user confidentiality
•To implement and adhere to organisations policies
and procedures including health and safety and equal
•To ensure the structure, values and ethos of the
organisation are adhered to
•To operate within clear professional and
confidentiality boundaries and to work within
organisations code of conduct.

Time needed from Volunteer:
To be arranged with organisation at initial induction.

Skills Experience & Qualifications:
All potential volunteers to complete training pathway with community support worker which includes all basic training and inductions including raising a concern, fire safety and first aid. Further training opportunities available to aid development.

Personal and Professional Development:

•To participate in regular one to one support with
community support worker and work through volunteer
•Attendance at team meetings when applicable
•To be responsible for own personal and professional
development, to identify any further training needs and
to be willing to undertake training where a need has
been identified and agreed with the workshop manager
