Purpose:
Help to maintain and improve our parks and green spaces in and around Hartlepool. This entails all types of gardening work i.e. weeding planting grass cutting tree pruning and felling beck and pond clearing, also some heavier work building and repairing fences and sometimes bridges. Working in all weathers (unless extremely bad weather)

Duties:
All types of gardening work i.e. weeding planting grass cutting tree pruning and felling beck and pond clearing, also some heavier work building and repairing fences and sometimes bridges.
Work clothes Hi-Viz vest and boots plus wet weather gear usually provided via Hartlepool Borough Council (HBC)

Time needed from Volunteer:
Mondays 10:00am - 16:00pm
Thursdays 10:00am - 16:00pm
May work either Tuesday or Thursday or both but must be reliable
To be arranged with Hartlepool Borough Council Park Coordinator at initial Induction

Skills Experience & Qualifications:
Common sense approach, some gardening or wood work skills . Use of using tools
Short tool talk to explain the use of tools and safety aspects requested.


Above not essential but must be prepared to do some heavy work when the need arises and use tools provided
