Purpose:
National organisations mission is to bring about stronger, safer, and more integrated local communities by involving people in litter-picking activities.
Do you want to inspire and support local people to look after the environment and improve community cohesion?
Their Community Partnerships Team are the organisations core volunteers across the country.
The organisation will help you to use your friendly people skills to inspire and support local communities to start their own litter-picking groups.

Duties:
As a Community Partnerships Volunteer, you will be helping other people to start up their own litter-picking groups based in Hartlepool.

The organisation will supply you with training and support to be able to identify potential litter-picking group leaders, and you will then go on to support those people in the processes of getting their regular community litter-picks up and running.
What’s involved:

•Inspire and support people to start their own community litter-picking groups.
•Liaise with council staff and other local organisations.
•Encourage the sustainability of community litter-picking groups.
•Report on the activities.
•A car or other form of transport is useful but not essential. Please tell the organisation about any access requirements you may have.

Time needed from Volunteer:
This is a very flexible role and can fit around times that suit you, from one morning / afternoon a week – 7 days a week.
It is likely that some weekend days will be involved.

Skills Experience & Qualifications:
You will need to have good communications skills and be comfortable liaising with different people such as: local community groups, Tenants' Residents Associations and council staff.

The organisation will provide an induction process to all volunteers. These are followed up with ongoing regular supervision sessions.

have detailed Health and Safety measures in place that all staff and volunteers are made aware of and requested to follow.

Organisation has a lone working and Covid - 1 -safe practices in place, all of which will be covered in their volunteer briefing sessions and followed up on a one-to-one basis.

Must be 18+
This volunteer role is home-based.
