Purpose: To support members of staff in delivering activities for children and young people who have low confidence, self esteem or social skills. The STREET project offers a safe, social environment for young people 6- 12 years and 13-19 years often with special needs and requirements to interact and socialise.
Support staff in delivering fun and educational activities for children and young people.
Support young people in overcoming issues with social skills and confidence.
Help with the general setting up of activities and assist with clearing away after activities.
Time needed from Volunteer:
Please note: STREET Project activities take place on a Monday and Thursday from 5.00pm- 8.00pm at One77. STREET Juniors (6-12yrs) takes place on a Monday from 5.00pm-7.30pm and a Friday from 5.00pm-7.30pm.
Skills Experience & Qualifications:
No formal experience required.
• Patient and tolerant with a calm manner.
• Friendly and approachable.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Reliable and committed.
• Motivated and enthusiastic.
• Enjoy working with children and young people with challenging needs
