To allow the HealthBus to move around safely and freely without causing interference to members of the public, staff and other services

a) To assist in the control and day to day operation of the Community HealthBus and ancillary equipment
b) To collect and return the Community HealthBus and to take it to and from locations/venues
c) To ensure that the Community HealthBus is parked in a safe manner and located so as not to cause an obstruction or compromise the health and safety of its users and staff
d) To undertake regular mechanical and condition checks of the Community HealthBus and related equipment and reporting any necessary repairs / maintenance (Drivers daily inspection/defect sheet)
e) To keep the Community HealthBus and equipment washed and in a clean and tidy condition. To refuel as necessary
f) To assist in the setting up and dismantling of equipment
g) To liaise with the Nurse/Coordinator in the development of good relationships and involvement with voluntary, statutory and private agencies and members of the public.
h) At all times you are expected to maintain strict confidentiality with regard to any information concerning clients, their families and fellow workers, we trust our volunteers to work by this policy; please do not break this trust!
i) Follow and adhere to organisational-wide policies, such as Health and Safety, Child Protection, Equal Opportunities and Staff Handbook
j) To undertake any other duties of a related nature which may reasonably be required or allocated by the Manager/Nurse coordinator

Time needed from Volunteer:

Skills Experience & Qualifications:
No formal experience required. However, knowledge of the geography of the local area with good navigational skills would be an advantage.

• Good communication skills
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Reliable and punctual
• Motivated and enthusiastic

As you are liable to come into contact with clients and members of the public, it is important that you present a professional image with regard to appearance and standards of dress. You should wear clothes appropriate to your job responsibilities, and they should be kept clean and tidy at all times
