Purpose: Assist residents with the completion of relevant forms, or signpost to any other assistance needed within the generic term “advice provision”
To be a point of contact within the community to assist/support people to overcome their barriers in engaging with the range of local services to enable them to fully participate and make a positive difference to their community.
Providing professional customer service, ensuring all enquiries are dealt with confidently, courteously and most importantly confidentially, promoting the ethos of standardised practice within the organisation.
1.Identify and assist with the completion and administration of appropriate application forms.
2.Signpost clients to other Advisers within the team for advice on a range of benefits, which may be available to them.
3.To liaise with other statutory and voluntary agencies.
4.Keep up to date with changes in legislation and changes in the benefit system.
5.To maintain agreed standards of work.
6.To be fully involved in peer group audit.
7.To attend training days as deemed necessary
8.To undertake any other duties in relation to the post as identified by the Manager.
