The information provided by you in the Volunteer Hartlepool System is collected for the purposes of matching you volunteering opportunities within the region as you have requested access to this system. We need to collect this information in order to ensure that the opportunities that you are matched to are within the scope of your skills, experience and competencies that will be determined by the Volunteer Management Administrators in Hartlepool Working Solution. Data is also processed in order to be compliant with the production of the Annual Equality Duty Report.
In the event that you are successful in obtaining a volunteering role through the Volunteer Hartlepool System, you will be contacted by one of our administrators.
Completion of this database/sharing your information with us constitutes explicit consent from you for us to process your data for this purpose. You may withdraw consent or request data at any time by writing to Jon.Wright@Hartlepool.gov.uk. In addition you have the right to see what information is held about you, to have inaccurate information corrected, to have information removed from our system unless we are required by law or a statutory purpose to keep it and the right to complain to the council's Data Protection Officer if you feel that your data has not been handled in accordance with the law.

Your name, contact details and eligibility are recorded electronically on our system to maintain up to date records. This information will be kept for a maximum of 7 years or until such time as the data is reviewed by us or removed at your request.
